Almay Jordaan is co-owner and chef for Melbourne based Neighbourhood Wine and Old Palm Liquor. Launched in 2019, Old Palm Liquor focuses on minimal intervention, paired with biodynamic wines, honing in on Jordaan’s South African heritage.
Growing up in the Western Cape of South Africa, Jordaan started her cooking journey here, moving to London where she met husband and business partner Simon Denman. Together they have quickly made Neighbourhood Wine a local Melbourne institution, with sister restaurant Old Palm Liquor noted as one of Good Food Guides’ 2019 most exciting Victorian restaurant recommendations.
Old Palm Liquor is celebrated for their focus on ethical and plant based eating.
